Japanese Lava Stone Small 0-5mm
10L bag unwashed crushed Lava Stone. Known as Fujizuna in Japan, it is a natual volcanic byproduct used in aquariums, terrariums and is important in bonsai mixes when combines with akadama and pumice.
Benefits for Bonsai
Crushed lava rock adds spacing through which air can flow and prevents compaction of growing mediums. Due to its potentially long life span it can be reused. It has a high porosity, allowing water and fertliser to penetrate more than adequately.
