In a typical growing medium, use a mix of 70% Leca and 30% Bonsai Mix for most trees. If you want to retain more water or slow down the growth of more mature bonsai trees, adjust the amount of Leca as needed. For collected or "yamadori" trees like Wild Olives or False Olives, use pure Leca and water as often as necessary to maintain some moisture and encourage strong root growth.
